May 18, 2018

Good morning, friends!

Just a few things to get us up-to-speed for Sabbath and the rest of the weekend.

For all you Adventurer/Discoverer parents/children: THIS EVENING (5/18) - 6:00PM - SANCTUARY - REHEARSAL FOR TOMORROW’S WORSHIP SERVICE.

Sabbath, May 19: Stephen Ministries leaders and ministers will meet at 8:30am for Peer Supervision and Continuing Education in Room 1. If anyone reading this is interested in any facet of Stephen Ministries, there is a secure receptacle at the Information Window in the the lobby. Just drop your comment/question in the box, and someone will respond promptly. Family Praise & Worship - Songs, testimonies, scripture, prayer, and more, for the kids and whole family - ROOM 8 - 9:30-9:45am. And, Sabbath Schools for all other age groups, from newborn to us older folks, taking place in several locations around the facility. They are all listed on the inside cover of your bulletin when you arrive Sabbath morning. For our Spanish-speaking friends, 9:30am in the senior pastor’s office in the main building. We will have a special service tomorrow as the Adventurer/Discoverer clubs participate, and we welcome our guest speaker, Pastor Wendy Eberhardt, AZ Conference Young Adults Director, with her morning message entitled, “PIGPENS, MOHAWKS AND MURDER,” with a scripture reference of John 1:11-13. There will be visitor’s luncheon following the worship service, and as always, EVERYONE is welcome, you just need to BRING FOOD. It is always helpful to our great volunteers, if a few who are attending could stay afterward and assist with clean-up. Following Visitor’s Lunch, at 2:00pm, Adventurer Club will meet in Room 3, Discoverer Club in Room 6 and Pathfinders will meet in Room 8.

Sunday, May 20: A special ministry outreach opportunity, brought to our attention by Pastor Melanie: A Community Service Project with “Operation Fix It” is scheduled for this coming Sunday May 20. We will meet at the Camelback SDA Church at 6:30 am and carpool from there to the site. We will be doing a landscape installation project - installing and spreading about 10 tons of rock. All tools will be provided. You just need to bring work clothes and shoes. You will also receive a FREE T-shirt. We should be done around 11:00 am. Please register! We need to get a head count and to get your T-shirt size:

A special message from Phil Draper, AZ Conference Communications Director: Mara Mayo is a SDA flight attendant who is looking for a “crash pad” near the airport beginning a.s.a.p. for the next 6 weeks while based in Phoenix. If you know an SDA family who can provide her a room to stay in, please call Mara at 252-515-2243 or contact her mother Mrs. Olsen at 386-479-1354.

Please remember to get graduation information in to me so it can be added to our list of graduates. The list will appear in the bulletin for another 3 weeks, including tomorrow.

See you tomorrow!

Love, Cherie O
