July 5, 2018
Good evening, Camelback members and friends!
It was/is a hot one today - 114 I believe is the official reading.
I’m trusting everyone received my email yesterday about what’s taking place on Sabbath (July 7).
We continue to host two Alcoholic Anonymous meetings per week in the Rotunda; Wednesday & Friday afternoons, Noon - 1:00pm.
Thursday (July 12), we will have our first Fun in July event: Thunderbird Pool Time - bring a dish to share, come out and enjoy fellowship; 5:30-9:00pm Thunderbird Adventist Academy Pool, 7410 E Sutton Dr, Scottsdale AZ 85260.
Sabbath, July 14, Stephen Ministries will meet at 8:30am in Room 1 for Peer Supervision and Continuing Education. Next on the agenda is Family Praise and Worship, 9:30-9:45am in Room 8, a time for praise music prior to breaking for Sabbath School classes. Sabbath Schools for all age groups, from newborn to us older folks, taking place in several locations around the facility. They are all listed on the inside cover of your bulletin when you arrive Sabbath morning. Pastor Mark Sulger will bring us the morning message, followed by Guest Luncheon in the Rotunda. That evening, at 6:30 in the sanctuary, please plan to bring a guest for the Debut Album Release FREE Concert by Cyiza Music Ministry. We have been blessed by the music of Cyiza on many occasions here at Camelback; come and enjoy yet another blessing!
Sunday, July 15, Brenda Seidel will host her Card-Making Group at her home, 10:00am - Noon. If you’re interested in learning more, just look her up at church and inquire.
Tuesday, July 17, the 2nd Fun in July event (by the way, Pastor Melanie is responsible for lining up all these events, so be sure and express your thanks the next time you see her!): As You Wish (Pottery) - Price: Studio fee of $7.50 per painter, plus the cost of pottery. 6:00-8:00pm, 2805 W Agua Fria Fwy, Phoenix AZ 85027.
After taking a summer hiatus, the Men’s Small Group Study will resume on Wednesday, July 18, 7:00pm, in Room 10.
Just a brief glimpse of what’s happening over the next two weeks. Watch next week for another “Notes from Cherie O.”
Love, Cherie O
