I trust you are all keeping well out there. It’s a beautiful day with countless things to be thankful for!
For those who did not hear it announced last week, Paul Langston’s mother, Joanne Langston, passed unexpectedly to her rest last Sabbath morning. Please remember Paul and his family in your prayers at this difficult time.
This coming Sabbath (January 13), Stephen Ministries will meet at 8:30am in Room 1. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone after the long holiday break. In order to give the Sabbath School leaders more time with their students, Family Praise & Worship will now meet from 9:30 - 9:45; it will still take place in Room 8. Pastor Mark will speak for the worship service. The bulletin teaser from last Sabbath reminds us: Just as God promised Moses long ago, our good Lord has not only kept His promise and established His new covenant with us through the blood of Jesus, He still has plans to deliver us into His promised land. Are we prepared? Pastor Mark Sulger’s message is entitled, “Purpose,” with a scripture reference of Exodus 3:7-10. We can look forward to a survey at the end of the worship service regarding revisiting our mission statement. We are hopeful of a large volume of membership participation in this process. There will be visitor’s luncheon following the worship service, and as always, EVERYONE is welcome, you just need to BRING FOOD.
Monday, January 15, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and the church office will be closed.

The Men’s Small Group Study will meet Wednesday, January 17, 6:00pm in Room 3. There is a “3” on the door, but is in the physical location of what used to be Room 7.
Sabbath, January 20, Pastor Melanie Cruz will be our speaker for the worship service. We’ll look forward to the message she has to share with us. And, later in the evening, at 6:30, the Camelback Concert Series is pleased to bring us Watoto - Signs & Wonders - a Free Concert. A Vibrant Worship Experience - The Sound of a Transformed Generation By a Family of Orphans from Uganda. If you missed them the first time they were here, don’t miss them now!
Just a reminder, the Pathfinder and Discoverer/Adventurer clubs will meet for the first time on Sabbath, January 20. Discoverers/Adventurers 2:00-3:30 and Pathfinders 2:00-4:00. A message for everyone from Rose Hammond: "And He said to them, "It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer.” Matthew 21:13
"It is a wonderful thing that we can pray effectually; that unworthy erring mortals possess the power of offering their requests to God. What higher power can man desire than this, to be linked with the infinite God? Feeble, sinful man has the privilege of speaking to his Maker. We may utter words that reach the throne of the Monarch of the universe." Gospel Workers 258
We have made available to all a place to pray, and to be prayed with, in the Parents Room. Open during SS and after the worship service, come and make your requests known to God, write your requests and place them on the Prayer Board and also your Praises, glorifying God.

Some pianist assistance is being requested for Kindergarten/Cradle Roll Sabbath School. If you could play once or twice a month, it would be a great help. Please contact Sharon Kirby if you are able to help: firstname.lastname@example.org or 602.717.3462.
Many of our members and friends continue to be ill. Please pray for everyone suffering through any kind of sickness. We want each one back among us soon!
