Cherie was born and raised in Arizona.  She is a true desert dweller, in her glory in the midst of our scorching valley summers.  Her step-father and sister also reside in the valley.

As a single woman, she is able to devote the majority of her time to church and people-related situations.  She feels her time can be spent most effectively in His service this way.

Cherie has always worked in clerical and administrative positions, enjoying the challenges of different industries, from office equipment to automotive to vehicle modifications for the disabled.  For the past almost 15 years though, she has truly found her niche here as secretary at the Camelback Church.  Cherie wears many hats, as is well known, and her church family considers her the glue that holds things together here at Camelback.  This is where she feels at home and knows she is loved.

John Abraham was born in Bradenton, Florida and moved to Arizona with his parents in 1966.  John and his family attended the Tempe SDA Church and he was baptized in 1973. The following year brought many changes, including a new home, new school, new friends, and a new home church, Camelback SDA Church.  John has been a member ever since and has always enjoyed singing in Camelback’s choirs.

By committing to several years of summer classes, John was able to finish high school in 3 years, and graduated from Thunderbird Adventist Academy in the summer of 1981.  He also took German language classes at ASU during that summer in preparation for going to Seminar Schloss Bogenhofen in Austria during the ’81/’82 schoolyear.  Vacation days during that schoolyear were spent travelling throughout most of Europe gaining new experiences, viewpoints, and knowledge.

After graduating from college, John worked at various jobs, until in 1994, when he joined his brother  Jeff at Arizona Wire Specialists, Inc., programming and operating Wire EDM Machines.  He has been there ever since.

In 2012 John met Ivy Jul Panganiban on an Adventist dating site and they soon become close friends, so close that John flew to the Philippines in 2013 to see her in person, and they were married in August of 2014.  Now John and Ivy serve their Lord as deacons and trust Him to help them overcome all challenges in life.
