G. Edward Reid is an ordained minister and licensed attorney and holds Master's Degrees from Andrews University (M. Div) Loma Linda University (MPH) and Doctor of Law degree (JD) from Georgia State University. He has served the church through teaching, pastoral, evangelism, and departmental positions. Elder Reid has done extensive study in eschatology and Christian Money Management. He is the author of 6 books: 'Even At the Door,' 'Ready or Not', 'Battle of the Spirits', 'Sunday's Coming!', 'Almost Home', and 'It's Your Money! (Isn't It?)' His website is www.omegabooks.com

The primary purpose of the "It's Your Money" seminar is to teach Christian families God's principles of handling money.

Family finances have been abandoned to the securar world for too long and the results have been devastating to the family unit. Financial conflicts are the underlying cause of more than 80 percent of all family problems, and the Christian family is not immune. Not all family financial problems are due to a lack of funds. Many problems result from the mishandling of an adequate amount of money. This practical seminar focuses on helping families respond in a Godley manner to today's financial crisis. It applies to families of all income and age levels.

There are two common misconceptions about the It's Your Money seminar. First, many people assume that a seminar on finances in only for those in debt. This is not the case. Since more than two-thrids of Christ's parables deal specifiacally with money and not just debt, the principles apply to everyone. Second, many people think a financial seminar is a fund raising priogram for the church, but this isnt true either. Giving is discussed as a part of a seminar, but always in the perspective that giving is the result of a Christ-centered life, no a step in finding it.
